Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum only or mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuums with mop vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its course automatically and clean them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot vacuum with mop to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.

The only negative I discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading best robot vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum and mop equipped with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.

Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive models available, but it packs in numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a good method to keep your home hygienic for longer.

There's an impressive amount of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
