World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3% of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases with Best item upgrade's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item upgrader mod requires a different amount of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades the equipment they have the original item will be replaced by a new item. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item upgrader kit; see here, will also come with a bonus of its own. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state which means that the player has to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
