Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item upgrade must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used.
