The Best Robot Hoover
The best robotic mop and vacuum robot cleaner hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end features (such as dirt detector) are a plus.

1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top-rated model) they utilize smart mapping technology to create detailed floor plans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned up quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in removing hair from dogs. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.
It's still a good value, especially if your home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you want to save money. It's also extremely quiet and works while you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to change the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of just a few seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and effective at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also features strong suction and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This high-performing combination vacuum and mop utilizes advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste and it will learn your home's layout over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average in comparison to other models.
If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to take off and extend its mop. This will help prevent cross contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete the entire house with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a decent cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog socks, turds, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
This robot vacuum and mop combination is sleek and has a circular design that appears much like a Roomba unit than the boxy units of the competition. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot vacuum cleaners best that is able to wash mop pads).
It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device which could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or at night as you try to fall asleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it's more expensive and create more noise.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot vacuums with mop mop and vacuum. It has a range of features that are advanced and will help you forget your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empty the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.
The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't foolproof in our testing and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.
Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has an option known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house depending on how dirty those areas tend to be.
If you have a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your house needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules recharge functions and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off can be very useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you'd imagine from its price. It has a great vacuuming performance and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using only one pad and a reciprocating motion that is more efficient than most mop cleaners for robots that we've tested. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange a spot clean or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app comes with a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features an impressive 8000 Pascal suction as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean an area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It is more appealing in its design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like adorable eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, but it's more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums we've test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
