The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to get rid of mopping off their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It's important to note that it incurs recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. These include an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot cleaner is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and finishing its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuums that mop [head to Enviosdigitales] is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about their children playing with the autonomous vacuum.

Like other robotic cleaner and mop vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
