Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday robot vacuum cleaner review Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of get a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart vacuum mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top 10 robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots could not do this. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ self vacuum-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best option. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuum cleaner comparison vacuums, and the Q5+ does not disappoint. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums fail. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space to allow it to move around but.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.
The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
