Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one time without having to swap out devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you can ask the robot cleaner with mop to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station has a handy LCD screen that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum (www.demilked.Com) and mop, is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners may overlook.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-refilling.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by excessive back-and-forth movements.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuums best is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.

There's a wealth of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
