Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that automatic vacuum and mop and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners may be unable to pick up.

This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and dust. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot mop is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home clean for longer.

There's a wealth of settings on offer that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
