WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item level upgrade (simply click the up coming website) from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with numerous new features added. Once the player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items come from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade item is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade items process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
