The upgrade of an item allows players to raise the level of their equippable items like trinkets, weapons, and armor over a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

Upgrade components are integrated into equipment to provide attribute bonuses and extra effects. These are usually slot-restricted but there are some universal upgrades.

Rerolling
