The History Of Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item level upgrade, Continued, upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item level upgrade and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade items discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut also, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an Best item upgrader that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
