Top Rated robot vacuum Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum will keep floors clean enough to reduce the frequency you have to manually vacuum. Look for one that offers an easy navigation, can clean corners and stairs and also has a large dust bin that has to be emptied only every few times.

There are also models that clean and charge on their own This feature could be beneficial for those with pets or children. The top performers in our tests also have good obstacle avoidance.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling the i3 EVO are the same robots, but they differ in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.

Both robots are proficient at removing surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart map of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean efficiently. However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we tested the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could be stuck on things like power cords or socks, and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it might come across. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they aren't clogged by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of constant use. It takes three hours to fully charge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ can better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or voice.

In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room, and even vacuum an area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. We were able, once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries, which produces energy that lasts for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then releases fresh air into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and pick up large crumbs or fine dust. It has three suction modes to suit the task that is being completed. It is able to swiftly change between handheld and floor vacuum and vice versa.

This model has a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% within 3.5 hours. It also offers the ability to connect two attachments as well as a Wand. This is a significant improvement over previous Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its limited running time. Its claims on the market that it has up to 60 minutes of run time are misleading, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical battery-powered vacuum's run time. That's still enough run time to get rid of the majority of a typical-sized home, but not quite long enough to cover every area (though an additional run-through often does the trick). However, this model doesn't have its benefits: It's lighter and agile than older cordless Dysons and its vacuuming efficiency is better on carpets with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum cleaners vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to spend on a robot vacuum ebay. It was able to remove the majority of types of debris and sizes in our testing and often went over the same area many times to give an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the walls' edges and walls, which is a nice addition.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, like our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its home base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694, as it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is outfitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower recurring cost, has more advanced automation abilities and can better navigate itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.

The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most reasons, since it has a longer battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode manually and has physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It's also more robust, has a larger motor, and can perform better on floors with low pile and bare.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a brand you see on all sorts of home electronics, so it comes as no surprise that they're one of the top mop and robot vacuum manufacturers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is loaded with cutting-edge onboard intelligence technology for navigation and obstacles avoidance.

The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic vacuum cleaner comparison cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior modification, docking frequency settings, and much more. The app is easy to use and understand as are other Samsung devices.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) very well, picking up 86% of it. However, it wasn't particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's priced higher than other models we've tested, and this could be a deterrent for some buyers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that is accessible via the app, and you can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you keep track of your pets or children when you're away from home. The dustbin and filter are washable for quick, easy cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with an automatic clean station which helps keep the robot's bin clear and improves suction power.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

In contrast to other robotic vacuums which are designed for both carpets and hard floors, Black and Decker robots are specifically designed for hard floors. The robots have an extra-wide cleaning path, and dust bins that are 2X larger than the competition. This lets them clean the area for a longer period of time. In addition, they have two side sweepers that clean up around edges and in corners. The POWERSERIES model also comes with AutoSense, which automatically adjusts the power level based on whether it is picking up dirt on the surface or embedded dirt. The vacuum also comes with an app that allows you to view a virtual map, control functions, and create schedules. You can also track the status of the vacuum and then send it to its dock for charging at the press of a single button. The app also lets you to personalize the LED lights on the top of the vacuum by using different colors, so that you can clearly see which areas it's focused on or where it's got stuck.

The app also makes it simple to manually steer the robot if needed. For example my living room rug has a darkly colored border that has a tendency to make it difficult for other robots I've tested. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. And the ability to set up the weekly cleaning schedule is a great time-saving convenience.
