The best robot vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who are looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This will result in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the amount of suction and select between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

The device comes with a high price tag but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It's crucial to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three month.

The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that doubles as the robot vacuum and mop's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has several control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's best automatic vacuum and mop emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the automatic vacuum cleaner and mop.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
