1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is a good option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the robot's dustbin once it gets full.
Both robots are adept at picking up surface dirt on carpets and hard floors, and they can easily move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other Top rated robot vacuum-rated robots that we test. It may be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any toys or clutter it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes about three hours to recharge.
2. iRobot i7+ Roomba
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most crucial feature of all -- it comes with a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or by voice.
The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room and sweep a specific space. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in many households and can fit nicely on a coffee table or on the bookshelf, where you can move it around like an enchanted tool.

The biggest issue with the V10 is its sluggish run time. Its claims on the market that it has up to 60 minutes of run time are a bit misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical and not a remarkable time for a battery-powered cordless vac. It's enough time to clean the average-sized home, but not enough to get into every corner. (A second time is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeable superior on low-pile floor carpet.

It also has a bigger dustbin, and charges more quickly.
