World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades (Yogaasanas.science) are a way to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade item increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

item upgrade Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats are increased in value. This value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is because of how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

Item level is a widely used measurement of power and can be found on all tooltips for items. It also serves to determine a gating condition when waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to the lower levels). Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's a sign of the damage and its quality. The level of the item can be used to compare items when looking at a vendor's inventory.

On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be found by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the level of an item is calculated. One theory says that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates how valuable an item's stats really are. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can lead to an item's ilvl which is calculated and is typically very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This is not the only factor that affects the ilvl of an item. The level of the area where the item dropped can also change its stats. For example it can increase the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats on a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn increased by the player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. A white or grey item for instance, can only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.

Another method to alter the stats on an item is to use affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and they come in all sizes and shapes. Affixes can provide the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This will cost a specific amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges as with other rerolling methods.

Players can upgrade an item to specific stats or reroll attaches. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat in the same range, unless it's an item that is unique or a God Roll from a raid boss.

This is another aspect that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or deciding which stats to enhance. Similar to base equipment, it would have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is especially advantageous in the early game, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chance of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) for a further +40 luck or to boost the luck of the item upgrader kit to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any skill that causes damage by 5%. These items are available from the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chance of success of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item if it does not work.

When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading the item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to how much success rates can be increased and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The luck of an item can influence the success of an upgrade. Every item has an initial success rate of 25% and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects may be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
