The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. This makes it a contender for our list of the top robot vacuums and mop.
