Overview

Originally a textile manufacturing company, Berkshire Hathaway was transformed by Warren Buffett into one of the world's most successful investment vehicles. The company owns businesses in insurance (GEICO, Gen Re), railroads (BNSF), utilities, manufacturing, and retail.
