Fabrizio Freda (born August 31, 1957) is an Italian-American business executive who served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies, one of the world's largest prestige beauty companies, from July 2009 to December 2024.[3] He has been serving as Special Advisor at Estée Lauder since January 2025.
Born in Naples, Italy, Freda spent over 25 years at Procter & Gamble before joining Estée Lauder in 2008. Under his 15-year leadership, Estée Lauder transformed from a primarily U.S.-focused company into a global prestige beauty powerhouse, with significant growth in China and other international markets. He received Italy's Cavaliere del Lavoro and was made a Knight in France's Legion of Honor for his contributions to the beauty industry.[4]

Education
Freda attended the University of Naples Federico II, one of Italy's oldest and most respected universities, graduating in March 1981 with a degree in Economics and Business Administration.[6]
Career
Procter & Gamble (1982-2008)
Health and beauty division (1982-1992): Freda joined Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1982 and spent his first decade in the health and beauty division. During this period, he led the launch and expansion of P&G hair care brands across several European countries.
Gucci interlude (1986-1988): Freda briefly left P&G for a two-year stint at Gucci as international director of marketing and strategy, until Gucci's sale to an investor group in 1988. He then returned to P&G.
Global snacks leadership: In his final role at P&G, Freda served as President, Global Snacks, where he:
- Restructured the struggling snacks business
- Orchestrated a successful turnaround
