Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) is an American spacecraft manufacturer, space launch provider, and satellite communications company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. SpaceX was founded by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and enabling Mars colonization.

Overview

Founded in 2002, SpaceX became the first private company to send astronauts to the International Space Station and has developed reusable rocket technology. The company operates the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles and is developing the Starship system for deep space missions.
